Report a number

Official ranges aren't enough: spam keeps evolving. Your reports help the community spot the numbers still getting through — and avoid false positives.

Why report?

Known unwanted-number ranges cover the recognised spam numbers. But spam goes further: some out-of-range numbers are misused, sometimes one-off or on rotation. When several people report the same number, it rises in the community database and can feed the "Suspect" level.

Two kinds of report

  • Problem — commercial cold call, scam / fraud, robocall / automated call, or "other".
  • Legitimate — the opposite, to say a number is fine. When you move a number to "Allowed", Allociao offers to report it as legitimate. That helps cut false positives for the whole community.

How to report — from the app

  1. Open the Calls tab and tap the number in question (or use the Report tab).
  2. Choose the status or the "Report" button, pick the reason, and — if you like — add an optional comment.

When you move a number to Blocked or Suspect, the app offers to report it right away; when you move it to Allowed, it offers to report it as legitimate.

What gets sent — and what doesn't

  • The reported number (the one that called you)
  • The reason (problem or legitimate)
  • A comment, only if you add one
  • An anonymous random identifier, generated at install

Your personal phone number is never included. The random identifier only exists to stop the same device inflating a number's score; it's tied to no account and no email address. Details on the privacy policy.
